Group Training & Speaking
One-time presentations or ongoing training on a variety of timely topics. I offer an a la carte series of formats, subjects, styles, and levels of customization for virtual or in-person audiences of any size.

Individualized Consulting
Personalized help for your specific concerns. I enjoy working one-on-one to assess needs, research the local landscape, and toss around ideas. Ultimately we’ll work together to design the perfect solution.

Writing & Program Planning
Your ideas communicated clearly. My experience with business/formal writing, local master plan development, and all forms of professional communication can help you get your ideas off the ground.
Training Formats
Webinars
Both pre-recorded and live webinars are available, as well as options for perpetual access to recordings. I’m happy to host webinars in a speaker format (Zoom webinar, Adobe Connect, etc.) or in a less formal meeting format (Zoom meetings, Webex rooms, Google Meet, etc.).
Idea Labs
In these fun, low-pressure labs originally started at the Utah State Library, I’ll offer a 10-15 minute “micro-training” on a niche topic of your choice and then facilitate a 45 minute brainstorming session with participants.
Staff Training
I can provide customized training to staff at any operational level within the library or organization. In this format, we’ll focus on building confidence and resource know-how in participants so they are ready to take on digital equity challenges in daily work.
Workshop Intensives
With a few dedicated hours to spend together, I can ensure that workshop participants leave feeling educated and empowered, armed with ideas to change the world and tools to make it happen.
Consulting Focus
Information equity and digital inclusion should be part of every library’s mission. I will work with you to identify, design, and launch the services most critical for your community. I can also help align your library with your state’s broadband and digital equity plan to ensure your eligibility for state and federal funding. For library associations and state library agencies, I can help you prepare the libraries you serve to be their own leaders.
The past two years have been a whirlwind of new government funding programs and federal requirements. I can ease the lift for state and local offices working to close the digital divide. From my experience as a librarian and as a state leader for digital equity planning, I can help you build anchor institutions into your plan as the essential partners they should be.
It’s critical to build bridges between library organizations and our stakeholders, even across ideological differences. I’ve had success working with community groups such as PTAs, advocacy organizations, school districts, library governing boards, professional associations, elected representatives, and more.
Library jobs are hard to find and even harder to secure. I’m passionate about career mentorship and professional development for those looking to enter the field or make a change. Contact me for mock interviews, resume help, document review, and coaching calls.
Let’s problem solve together.
